APPOINTMENT POLICY

We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you on the day you call.  If your appointment is for a future date you will be called again to confirm it.  However, our failure to do so should not be a reason for you not to honor it.

We require 24 hours prior notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge.  Notification  must be phoned into our office during regular business hours.  Email messages or those left on an answering machine or sent by FAX are not acceptable since they will not be received in a timely fashion.

We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. However, there are circumstances that may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. Emergency cases may arise, and patients arriving late for their appointments can cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience. We suggest that just before leaving to come for your appointment you call the office to see if we are running on schedule.

If you are calling for the first time and have dental insurance, please provide the name of your insurance carrier, your group number, insurance ID number or social security number, your date of birth, and the name of your employer.. If someone else is the policyholder we  need the same information for that person, as well as his or her name and relationship to you.  All of this will save time at your appointment if we already have it in the system

Your initial appointment will be preceeded by a review of your medical and dental history.  If you are currently taking any medication, please be prepared to provide the name, strength, and dosage.  We may require X-ray images as part of an examination in order to make a diagnosis.  If these were taken recently elsewhere, you may wish to have them sent to us prior to your visit, or obtain them personally and bring them in at the time of your appointment.

Emergency appointments or those made for previously undiagnosed conditions, will be limited to the relief of pain, a prescription if inidcated, or a temporary restoration or repair.   One or more follow up visits will be needed since it is not possible to determine before your visit how much time to allow for it.

All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
